This course is designed to meet the needs of people working in the building industry whose intention is to become a Registered Building Practitioner

It is specifically designed for learners from a trades background who can demonstrate commitment to taking another step in their career pathway.

It requires learners to be actively engaged in the construction industry so they can demonstrate the practical aspects of the course in their worksites.

Through a mix of theory and practical coursework, including:

  • Building codes and standards
  • Oversee the legal obligations of the contractor
  • Select and mage contractors
  • Plan & supervise low to medium-rise building projects
  • Legal & Regulations requirements
  • Identify and produce estimated project costs, including minimise waste
  • Plan, prepare and evaluate tender documentation
  • Builder
  • Construction Manager/Supervisor
  • Site Manager/Supervisor
  • Trade contractor
  • Building Inspector

Tutorials (Virtual classroom) will be presented by our trainers qualified in training and assessment with substantial industry expertise. The interactive tutorials are scheduled as 4 hour sessions on two weekday evenings.

  • Learners currently working or be employed in a position in the building and construction industry that allows them to demonstrate the application of the process and management skills required by the program.
  • A valid white card (General Construction Induction card)
