You need to provide at least 100 points ID for NSW White Card training.

Your ID is checked before training to confirm your identity. You can use a combination of primary and secondary documents to reach 100 points.

Primary ID

You can use ONE of the following:

If you use credit/savings cards or bank statements, you can use a maximum of two, and they must be from different financial institutions.

Easy Ways to Reach 100 Points

Here are some simple examples:

Passport/Birth Certificate – 70 points
Driver Licence – 40 points
Total = 110 points

Another option:

Driver Licence – 40 points
Medicare Card – 25 points
Utility Bill – 25 points
Bank Statement – 25 points
Total = 115 points

You don’t need exactly 100 points. Your documents simply need to add up to at least 100 points.

What Does Your ID Need to Show?

Your identification documents need to allow your trainer to verify your identity.

Together, your documents must show:

• Your photo
• Your date of birth
• Your current residential address
• Your signature

You must also meet the minimum age requirement of 14 years for the standard identification process.

Your documents should be original documents and contain your full name. Photocopied or certified copies are not accepted under the standard requirements. If a document was issued electronically, such as an eligible utility bill, the digital version may be accepted.

Are You From Overseas?

If you have recently arrived in Australia, there is a special identification arrangement that may apply to you.

If you have been in Australia for less than six weeks and are not ordinarily a resident of Australia, you may not need to use the standard 100-point ID system.

Instead, SafeWork NSW provides a special process for recently arrived overseas participants.

What Will You Need?

Your identity can be verified using:

1. An overseas travel document

For example:

• Current passport
• Other international identity documents with similar characteristics to a passport, such as certain diplomatic or refugee documents

AND

2. One additional identification document

This can be an Australian or overseas:

• Current Driver Licence
• Credit or Savings Account Card

The special overseas arrangement is only for people who have been in Australia for less than six weeks and are not ordinarily Australian residents. The normal 100-point system does not apply to this special arrangement.
